Asking Questions. Making Choices.
Laura Jeffrey Academy (LJA), is a Twin Cities tuition free charter school offering a unique STEM-focused, girl-focused educational experience, grades five through eight. Students learn through rigorous study, by asking questions, solving problems, and participating in the community. LJA's interdisciplinary learning and teaching model provides students with the experiences and skills that result in academic and personal success - students who are critical thinkers and leaders.
LJA welcomes all students. Admission is open to all students, regardless of gender, race, religion, sexual orientation, ability, or economic status.
Ms. Allison, our Education Director, addressed the school, post-election, and shared some words with our community. You may read her speech here. In recognition of LJA's unique girl-focus and how momentous this election has been for girls and women around the world, MPR News chose to join our assembly and interview our students to hear their thoughts. The MPR feature may be found here.
