Prospective scholars and their families can schedule a tour to see the school, meet our community and get a closer look at scholar life. In some cases, we can also arrange a shadow day so your child can experience a day alongside a current LJA scholar.

Enrolling at Laura Jeffrey Academy Middle School
Start With the Interest Form
Complete the interest form above. LJA will follow up with the official Scholar Application Form and help answer any questions.
Enrollment Is Rolling
Applications for the current school year are reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis.
If there is space available in your scholar's grade, LJA can offer a spot. If the grade is full, your scholar may be placed on a waiting list.
Open Enrollment Begins in January
Applications received by 4 p.m. on the first Friday in March are included in LJA's open enrollment period.
If there are enough spaces for all applicants in a grade, all eligible applicants can be offered enrollment.
If there are more applicants than available spaces, LJA holds a lottery. Applications received after the deadline are considered on a rolling basis and added to the waiting list if needed.
If You're Offered a Spot
LJA will send your family the New Family Packet to complete enrollment. Your spot can be held for up to 30 days while you complete the required paperwork.

LJA is a tuition-free middle school located in the Mac-Groveland neighborhood of St. Paul, MN. Our school does not require admission tests. Admissions is open to all students from the Twin Cities and surrounding areas.
