Uniform Policy

The purpose of this policy is:

• To create an environment where competition is diminished and learning is paramount.
• To minimize commercialism as a student value.
• To focus attention on the content of character and the pursuit of scholarship.
• To contribute another shared identity element within the LJA community of learners. 

NOTE:  “PLAIN” means no words, logos, advertising, design or image of any kind. 

Tops:

• Grey polo with LJA logo
• Light Blue polo with LJA logo
• Purple polo with LJA logo
• Black vest with LJA logo
• Black sweater with LJA logo
• Black sweatshirt  with LJA logo
• LJA T-shirt (Asking Questions, Making Choices)
• LJA Basketball Sweatshirts

Bottoms:  Students can wear plain bottoms of their choice, providing they adhere to the following: 

• Black, Khaki, & Navy Blue colors       
• Shorts, skorts  and skirts must be no shorter than 4 fingers above the knee
• No Denim jeans of any color or legging style pants that look like denim

Physical Education Uniform 

Tops:

• Plain T-shirt any colors
• Plain sweatshirt for outside activities

Bottoms:

• Plain shorts – no shorter than 4 fingers above the knee
• Plain sweatpants or wind pants
• No cargo shorts, jean shorts or jeans

Footwear:

• Athletic shoes with laces
